Before the advent of air travel and a modernized road system, the majority of freight deliveries inland were made by railroad and steam-engine train. These magnificent chugging locomotives were very efficient and reliable, but only when there was a competent driver on board! Train Mania is a straight-forward, fun online freight transportation game where you have to move carriage-loads of barrels and boxes from one location to another.
You play the role of the train driver, and have to carefully negotiate the many steep hills and tricky mountainous landscapes of the Old West. The catch is that your freight is riding in an open-top carriage, so one small mistake could lead to you losing a delivery item – which is completely unacceptable to your employers! Keeping your freight on board can prove to be extremely difficult on the hilly and bumpy terrain, so you need to be very skilled at keyboard control, conscious of your speed, and able to make snap decisions in order to avoid losing any of your precious load. This is an enjoyable online train driving and delivery challenge which gets steadily more difficult as you progress, so you need to be constantly on your toes! Are we on the right track?

How to Play: Use the Arrow Keys or the WASD Keys on your computer keyboard to control your train: Up Arrow / W = Accelerate; Down Arrow / S = Brake & Reverse; Left & Right Arrows / A & D = Lean back / forward. In each of the 24 progressively challenging levels, your goal is to safely deliver all items of freight to their destination.
At the beginning of each level, you have to position your train so that the freight can be carefully loaded into the open-top carriage at the back of the train. A white outline indicates where your train needs to be parked so that the freight passes smoothly into the carriage.
Once all of the freight is loaded (usually two or three boxes / barrels), you can set off. Each level is filled with steep hills and drops, making it difficult to keep all of the freight in the back carriage.
If an item falls out of the carriage and onto the tracks, you fail the level, and have to start over again. Once you get to the end of a level, you have to position the back carriage directly underneath a large extractor fan chute.
This machine sucks your freight up into it as long as you steadily position the carriage underneath the chute for long enough. The quicker you complete the level, the more bonus points you score.
There are also Gold Stars which can be collected as you progress. These Stars can be used to purchase bigger and better trains.
