If you were using GBC brand laminating pouches they don't need a carrier, if you were using another brand of laminating pouches, then a carrier is needed (something they don't clearly specify) and that's why the laminating pouch got stuck. If you have had the laminator under a year, it should be under warranty, and you can call the company, and they will send a replacement, and they will probably then inform you of the above listed laminating pouch issue.
